England, 1851. Led by Thomas Myddelton, First Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, London is preparing for the greatest event in the kingdom’s history: the first World’s Fair at the Crystal Palace. The whole world is invited to Hyde Park – with the exception of Julie, Thomas’s only daughter.
Isolated from society, her father keeps her imprisoned at home for reasons he can never reveal to her. Until one day Julie runs away, setting off a race through Victorian London. A race in which nothing less than her freedom is at stake.
