I grew up in the vast countryside right along the Aller River dike. Even as a teenager, I loved animals and nature and was committed to protecting them. I also captured them on camera, painted them with passion, and wrote about them. I still do all of these things today.
That’s why I find my inspiration primarily in nature, which plays an essential role in my books and writings. The main theme of my first Icelandic fantasy novel, published in March 2024, is to restore harmony between humans and endangered nature and to share knowledge about nature.
I am involved with Climate Fiction Writers Europe because I consider climate and environmental protection to be one of the most important challenges and issues of our time, and I have been advocating for these causes—both in literature and beyond—for decades. Now I would like to network here.
An elf, a troll, and a geologist. They have nothing in common except one thing: the same urgent mission. With Michael’s active support and the help of many wise nature spirits, the story also conveys, in a highly entertaining way, fascinating facts about the landscape and nature of Iceland—the land where you can witness the Earth’s formation with your own eyes.
