Climate Fiction Writers Europe is an official partner of the creative writing contest for children and young adults, which is themed “Our Future, Our Water, Our Stories.”
We are proud to be part of this project, organized by Andreas Wagner and Prof. Michaela Mahlberg of FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, in collaboration with Prof. David M. Hannah, holder of the UNESCO Chair in Water Sciences at the Birmingham Institute for Sustainability and Climate Action.
“Our Future, Our Water, Our Stories” invites participants aged 9 to 17 to write an original story in English that explores the themes of the future and water. Submissions are accepted until the end of September 2025.

Members of Climate Fiction Writers Europe will serve as jury members to help evaluate the submitted stories, as well as ambassadors to promote the project within their respective communities.
