Sharing ideas and visions for the future at the book fair: Meeting of the founding members of the association

Amidst the hustle and bustle of the 2024 Frankfurt Book Fair, six of the seven founding members of Climate Fiction Writers Europe e.V. met to discuss joint projects and the association’s future activities. There was a big HELLO! The atmosphere was characterized by a spirit of optimism and a multitude of new ideas that emerged from the exchange between the members.

The meeting at the book fair provided an opportunity not only to reflect on existing projects, but also to discuss how the association can grow and expand its reach in the coming years. Among other things, the topics discussed included writing competitions, joint readings, interactive formats with the audience, and creative writing workshops designed to bring authors and readers closer together.

Expanding the association’s digital presence and collaborating on social media were also topics of central importance to the association. After all, the digital world offers us, as an authors’ association, great opportunities to reach even more literature enthusiasts and intensify the dialogue between authors and readers.

Overall, it was an inspiring meeting that showed how important personal exchange is. The book fair has once again proven that it is not only a place for books, but also for visions, creativity, and collaboration. We look forward to the next steps and to putting our ideas into practice with the support of our members and readers.
