“Luminus, don’t you sometimes wonder what a sunny day looks like?” This question simply won’t leave Schimmerie Harztropf, the little forest fairy from Hasselbach Valley, out of her mind. She would love to experience her beloved forest by day. But as soon as the sun rises, forest fairies fall into a deep magical sleep.
On the night of the big summer festival, Schimmerie roams through the forest with her best friend, the fairy wolf Luminus, in search of answers. They encounter interesting forest dwellers such as the tawny owl Fidelius Mausgraus, who enjoys telling them about his daytime adventures.
But suddenly Schimmerie and Luminus discover a magical thread that seems to come from the middle of the night sky—and shortly afterwards, the whole sky is turned upside down. The two friends embark on a turbulent adventure in which Schimmerie’s deepest wish comes true in an unusual way. But disaster looms: day and night threaten to become completely confused. Is Schimmerie’s magic strong enough to put everything back in order?
