I am involved with Climate Fiction Writers Europe because future generations will not be able to survive in the long term without our serious efforts to protect the climate. And because this fact can be put into novels without raising a warning finger in the text and getting on the nerves of readers who actually want to read an entertaining novel. Gently revolutionizing, so to speak.

A.R.T. – Coup zwischen den Sternen (A.R.T. - Coup Between the Stars)

An art exhibition in space.
A coveted object.
Only one woman can protect it.

Art serves the rich. And Earth is no longer profitable enough for it. The art galleries have understood this and have moved their auctions to the far-off reaches between the stars: illustrious art lovers can now indulge in their pleasures on luxury spaceships and spend billions on the precious treasures undisturbed.

Yet special protection is also needed in space, whether it’s from art abusers, would-be thieves or religious fanatics. Savoy Midthunder is in charge of this. She works for ArtSecure, a security company that specializes in guarding art auctions in space.

Her latest mission: she and her team are to protect a mysterious and spectacular object during an auction. But several groups are after it, including Savoy’s ex-girlfriend! A race against time and Savoy’s feelings begins.

A.R.T. – Coup Between the Stars is an action-packed science fiction thriller and is perfect for all fans of heist stories and rogue comedies.

BORN

Dark, extremely suspenseful – and oppressively realistic:
The noir thriller “Born” is set in a near future in which Europe has lost the war for essential resources.

Germany in the near future: The Great Sand War has made the country almost uninhabitable and the population is crowded into gigantic mega-cities. Huge farms outside ensure the supply of basic necessities – or what the government deems necessary.
Nalani keeps her head above water as a cab driver in the mega-city of Born, always accompanied by Fergus, her emergency car hologram that can no longer be deactivated and knows pretty much everything better.

Her life is turned upside down when her brother Tomas contacts her in desperation: Something is going very wrong on the farms, which are run by so-called brothers and sisters according to an Old Testament code, and Nalani, who has to deal with the worst scum day after day, is his last resort …

In her noir thriller “Born”, Kris Brynn, the author of “The Shelter – Future Without Hope” (winner of the SERAPH 2019 in the ‘Debut’ category) and “Out of Balance” (nominated for the SERAPH 2020), creates an oppressively realistic vision of the future. The right dose of action, lively dialog and plenty of atmosphere make this thriller a real reading highlight.

Out of Balance

Nominated for the SERPAH 2020 fantasy award

Earth as we know it no longer exists. People’s everyday lives are dominated by famine and complete destruction. Only the rich can afford the genetically modified food produced on specially developed space stations – and on the space stations themselves, even one person too many is beyond capacity. If there are too many, they are relocated without consideration. But unrest breaks out underground, and a rebellion against the inhumane system is brewing.

The Copernicus space station is just one of the many production facilities. To protect his younger sister from it, Cap Hallberg has signed up to work on the station. But in the vastness of space, he suddenly finds himself confronted with unknown dangers, uprisings and unrest. And it quickly becomes clear: something is not right here. Who can Cap trust at all?
