Roman Gruber is from Austria and was born in Neunkirchen in 1977. He studied natural sciences at the Open University. He works primarily as a scientist in the field of drug research and development and has worked for the United Nations in the area of climate change/food security.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Roman Gruber was very surprised by the high number of people who believe in conspiracy theories. Based on this experience, he published his first science fiction book, “Parallel Realities – When Conspiracy Theories Come True,” in 2025 and discovered his joy in writing stories. His first book forms a trilogy of independent stories with his second book, “The Diamond Moon and Rare Earths,” and his third book, “DANA.” The three books have also been translated into English and Spanish.
I am involved with Climate Fiction Writers Europe because I care deeply about our environment and I hope that I can inspire some readers to think about these issues.

After a few mishaps, Ericsson’s team, which includes Nancy and Eli, manages to set up a mining station on the moon. Shortly thereafter, their competitor Nolem also moves into his lunar station. The mysterious accidents continue.
After a worker is fatally injured in an explosion at Ericsson’s drilling unit, suspicions begin to arise as to whether their adversary Nolem might have had a hand in it. The situation escalates, forcing Nancy and Eli to flee. But their escape is not without complications.
A journey into an unknown world on the other side of the flat planet begins. At the same time, a rescue mission is launched. An old lady who lives in a small town called Pitten could be the key to saving Nancy and Eli.
Will the rescue mission be successful?
Nancy is a young woman trying to get her life together after a difficult childhood. She lives in a world where all conspiracy theories have come true. Although Nancy is an atheist and Alex is superstitious and religious, they fall in love. They both work for the same employer, who belongs to a secret society.
After people on social media increasingly turn against the corporations controlled by this society, their employer looks for another way to control people. One department creates artificial viruses, which he deliberately releases, while another department produces a vaccine with nanochips that can disable the immune system.
No sooner does Nancy feel she has found security than the full force of conspiracy theories hits her. Can Nancy escape the chaos?
