Tim Höregott was born in 1990 and lives with his family in Berlin. As a game designer and passionate world-builder, he combines playful structure with profound narrative experiences in his work.
Having grown up with a love for the fantasy genre, Tim—a queer man on the autism spectrum—found storytelling to be a space where he could share complex thoughts and feelings in an accessible way. He draws on his personal experiences of being an outsider to tell fantastical, epic stories about relevant themes—themes such as compassion, understanding, and systemic change.

Kaukas, a dreamy boy, doesn’t get along very well with people—but he’s a whiz with the magical technology that’s widespread in his world. When he tries to get his hands on some particularly useful components through less-than-legal means, he clashes with the resolute security officer Vaska.
Just as the good-natured priestess Athame joins them to settle the dispute, chaos breaks out: the armies of the underworld, Naraka, invade through ancient portals. The three flee and find themselves targeted by the government corporation. The corporation equips them with magical powers and sends them to Naraka for a counterattack.
But the world they find there is not the hell they’ve always been told about. Against all odds, the three stick together, for they quickly realize that the fate of both worlds is at stake in this conflict.
“Hypostasis” combines epic high fantasy with social commentary, etherpunk, and science fantasy. The story centers on societal outcasts who form a small family and stand up against all injustices.
